The food was outstanding and the staff was very excellent and extremely friendly. The deluxe king room was immaculately clean and newly decorated, with central heating, an iron and ironing board, and a work desk. The breakfast had variety of food and it was complimentary.

nothing, no power at all. there should have been a bigger generator for such size hotel. I must say shame on hotel management.

It was fairly clean. I mainly chose this hotel because I found a good deal online.
When changing tv channels, I found a porno channel. I do not need this junk. Be careful if you have children. The hotel appeared to a very nice hotel when new. The fabric of the sofa was worn out. The carpet appeared to be clean but with ugly stains.

Very noisy, could not sleep all night and the stuff didn't do anything about it. Never plan to stay there again.

The hotel offered a nice stay with comfortable rooms and friendly staff, although some services were lacking, especially in the restaurant where wait times were excessive and menu options were limited. Despite the minor setbacks, I appreciated the overall ambiance and cleanliness.

The location and staff
Unfortunately, at midnight,, the recessed light above our toilet began pouring out water. We immediately called the front desk and they sent an engineer to our room. He then went to the room above ours and found that the guest had taken a shower without securing her shower curtain correctly. We were told that this sometimes happens if the shower curtain is not properly used. We were offered another room but by then the leak had stopped so we elected to stay - it was 2am at that point and we had a funeral to attend in the morning. The front desk comp'd our room service breakfast for our inconvenience. I think this wonderful older hotel is in dire need of updating. The staff was terrific but the rooms and bathrooms are needing a little tlc.

Embodying the Old World service vibe. The spa treatment was a nice touch, and room service was great. Fitness center was clean and stocked. For future visits, definitely try the restaurant next door. The food was amazing!
Only downside was the noise from the hallway sometimes, which interrupted our late-night chats.

Glitzy mirrored Entrance and reception rooms in stark contrast to the grim guest rooms and bathrooms, in desperate need of a major overhaul.
Dark, sad guestroom. No central heating, a noisy airconditioner unit had to be turned allnight for warmth. Old bathroom, rusty tub with antislip stickers on the bottom.

It's overall clean hotel nestled in an original style building in the very very nice area. The staff are very helpful and deserve a 4-star rating. The location is central. Love eating outside and there's Seventh Street Gourmet, set around 4-6 minutes walk from the property. This is a hotel go-to for Garden City!
